Rest Day Photos
Today is a rest day, as tomorrow morning it’s the North Tyneside 10K road race. This is a great run for an Easter Sunday, but not very fast partly because of the course (always into a headwind - I’ve no idea how), but mostly because of the scenery, which isn’t condusive to concentrating on your pace!
You can look at the route of the North Tyneside 10k road race, which Barry Cornelius has recorded with the Gmaps Pedometer. Yet another fine application of the Google Maps thingies. My house is just past point 6 on the map, so I can expect a big cheer from the home team at this point!
Anyway, I went to the beech this morning with our enormous damnation dalmation, and for once remembered my camera. The tide wasn’t quite as far out as I’d thought, so I did get wet feet . . . but I also took some photos I’m quite pleased with. See what you think (bigger images on Flickr - just click the photo here to see ‘em):

‘A’ is for A-Frame. This is a trailor for launching a fishing boat

Gorgeous (not you - the view). Sorry i can’t make it up to cheer you on tomorrow.
Good luck in the race - hope you beat the ‘tall one’.

p.s. - just to remind yourself what the ‘tall one’ looks like in lycra and why you should run ahead of him and not behind - i have put a photobook on the frontpage of myspace so you no longer have to subscribe to see my pictures!
Good luck in the North Tyneside 10k. Hopefully you will have home course advantage
Phil
Congratulations on your race. When are we getting the Zappoman video?
