Indoor Brick II: The Run

Treadmills. Bah!

I don’t like ‘em, don’t enjoy the boredom, and don’t do it unless I have to. Send me outdoors, and I’ll run no-matter what the weather for an hour or so. Indoors, more than ten minutes is torture.

Today was better - I’d brought some headphones, and plugged into the gym’s sound system. So I could watch the news / weather / Transformer’s interview on CNN. Still felt like a lot further than 5k though . . .

I’m with you. I’d rather be outside. Even headphones don’t cut it for me on the treadmill. Drives me nuts.

This past winter, I was even running outside when it was 9F (-13C) with a stiff wind pushing the wind chill below 0F (-18C).

It’s running in weather like that makes you glad to be alive . . . actually probably quite surprised to be alive when you get to the end!
