Swimming - I don’t feel any faster
Thursday night’s swimming session was hard work in the ‘learners’ lane. We were doing sets of 200, 150, and 100m, with 45 seconds recovery between each distance in the set, and two minutes between sets. And as the man on the side of the pool was keen to remind us, “Hold your stroke count!!“.
I may be able to swim a whole lot further than I could have even dreamed about six months ago, but the speed’s still definitely lacking. I was one of the slower swimmers in the lane
However, congratulations must go to Simon, who got promoted out of the learner’s lane to swim with the big kids. He was pretty chuffed about this, and rightly so.
One day I’ll make the grade . . . one day . . .
I’ve a feeling there’s still something wrong with my stroke - maybe it’s time to film it again, and get some input from anyone out there who cares to voice an opinion.
