Thank Goodness For Friday Swims with Daughter
So yesterday, although Swimtime’s finished for the summer, Daughter and I headed off to the pool to play for an hour. Wife came along too, to see just how much progress Daughter’s making (lots).
And a good job it was that we went swimming yesterday - as I was putting my goggles on, the strap snapped! Basically if we hadn’t gone to the pool yesterday, this would have happened on the start line for tomorrow’s Hebburn Triathlon, which would not have been funny at all.

Mike - Not quite. The devil came to get me during the bike section of today’s race . . . but I acted like The Karate Kid facing down Steve Vai. Or something like that. Anyway, I overcame the problems.
