Starting a Stud Farm?
So MistahSinclair has a Noble Steed to ride. And she’s a pretty fine looking filly!
Anyway, when Wife found out about this, she commented today that I seemed to be running a stud farm. Here’s my ‘breeding stock’ - mostly from the shallow end of the gene pool. Left to right, there’s my trusty Sturdy Commuter, Wilf (a Revolution Courier ‘06), Trixie the Fixie (a conversion from a mid-’80s Raleigh Record Sprint), and Christine, my possessed Giant SCR Ltd:

Nice pix. I really gotta take the pictures of all my steeds!
Okay, so I gotta say it…isn’t a “stud farm” where the boys are? Wouldn’t yours be something more like a, well, brothel or “hen house” with girls named “Christine” and “Trixie”?
Uh . . . I of course have no idea, having had a very sheltered upbringing.
I mean a real stud farm, where I breed bikes from carefully selected blood lines to create an überbike. But then, as I said, I’m working at the shallow end of the gene pool, so I don’t rate my chances too highly.
Looking at my blog stats today, someone actually arrived here by looking for “info on running a stud farm“. Whoever you are, I’m sorry if this page was a disappointment, and (assuming that you’re looking for horse-related information) perhaps you’ll find Kim’s Fitness Through Dressage more relevant!
Gardenmentor - you’d better watch who you’re calling a tramp
Seriously, Karl, nice harem!
um…er…well, I guess we’d both be tramps as my middle name is Christine. Hmm…is that the taste of foot in my mouth?
Wilf is a lucky guy!!
I should take a picture of the tractor (mountain bike) to post alongside the Noble Steed!
Nice to see that your seat and handlebar position throughout are very similar.
[...] Today is my off (the bike) day as I have somewhere to be after work that I don’t really want to ride to. I’ll need to put in a short ride on Saturday to make it to 50 miles for the week. After tomorrow I should be at 44 so 6 miles will be all that’s needed. My 7.5 mile route home is one I’ve ridden as a loop the other way a couple of times. It might be interesting to ride that and see how my performance compares to early August when I last rode it. In order to keep up with the Joneses (Hobbes and his stud farm) I’ve updated my Noble Steed page to include the tractor. [...]
