Packing For Skiing
Did I hear right that you’ve got a week’s skiing coming up?
No? Are you sure? I’m certain that someone said something about seven days skiing the massive Three Valleys area - combining Courchevel, Méribel and Val Thorens?
Oh, hang on a minute, I can see where I’ve gone wrong - it’s not you, it’s ME that’s going skiing, isn’t it!
Seven days with Von Smallhaussen, Tall Friend and the Semiconductor Engineer (I’ve got to get him a shorter alias). And I just can’t wait. In fact, I’m pretty much packed already - even though the flight’s not ’till SUNDAY MORNING.
There’s method in my madness though - I’ve a full day doing my Mr Entertaining Change Agent thing at a food factory tomorrow, followed by a dash home for Daughter’s swimming lesson, then a load of preparation work for all the lovely painting that Wife’s going to be doing while I’m living it up, and then on Saturday morning a load of moving furniture around the house, and then on Saturday afternoon, the drive down to Semiconductor Engineer’s house in Cambridge.
So really, I’ve pretty much left it ’till the last minute.

I don’t ski, but I’m jealous. Have loads of fun!
Waahooooo! Your trip sounds like a blast!! I’ve been in the mountains of France and there is nothing like it!
S’amuser!
ps. How about ‘Semi’ or ‘Duc’ for your friend?
Sounds like fun. I haven’t skiied in a few years, just too busy with other things. My son learned to snowboard last year. I might have to learn someday.
Seashell - merci bien - ce sera très amusant!.
What - we are going skiing on Sunday? How did that come about? Nobody told me about this!
Skiing - woo woo woo
Please pack underwear and deodorant! I’m off to speak to your wife about this now, although I fully realise that she can take no responsibility and is not liable for what you pack!
I went into a fancy dress shop last weekend to enquire about adult size Tigger costumes for you - we were out of luck but maybe we can find some facepaint.
p.s. the stripy leggings are barred!
They’re already packed . . . getting pretty thin with age too . . . .
