A Better Swim

Only one question really - what on earth went wrong on Monday? We did lots of sets of 50’s and 100’s tonight, and right the way to the last 100, I was able to hold my goal paces - 1:01 for 50m, and 2:02 for 100m. So how come on Monday I was down at 2:18 for 100?

Damn that’s two questions.

Karl, you know we all have our off days. Don’t sweat it too much, unless it becomes a trend.

Looks like you were in fine form today.

    How’s that shoulder treating you?

The shoulder’s fine and dandy, thanks! I still get the occasional twinge in it, but it feels more like regular day-after-workout soreness than the pain I had before. I think it was related to two things:
o Poor swim stroke - my left hand was going far too deep in the water as I pulled.
o Bad posture on my Sturdy Commuting bike. Chopping almost 6″ off the overal width of the handlebars has helped this big time.

I think it was the magnets.

    Ask a silly question…
