Cleveland Steelman 2008 Provisional Results

The provisional results are out for the Cleveland Steelman are now available from the Cleveland Triathletes’ home page.

They show that of the 166 starters, I came in 142nd - which is 85.5% of the way down the field, and near-as-damn-it at my dreams-come-true goal of finishing out of the bottom 15%. :-D I was last on the swim, 145th on the bike, and 118th on the run.
There were ten finishers behind me, twelve other starters who withdrew during the race and didn’t finish, and two disqualifications.

p.s. well done on the run part - you really pulled yourself up the rankings with it…so fast we missed you the first time around.

Nice race! :) It is a tough distance, isn’t it? I’m planning on writing a full race report later today…sorry I’ve been MIA from the blog world for a little while! Must catch up! My race was great! Hit my goal, but had a rather miserable run just trying not to throw up! Awesome work on your run! So….the big question….you thinking full IM in ‘09? ;)

Congratulations! I checked in on Saturday evening but you were still busy typing your blogs (only the swimming was posted at that time). All I have to say is WOW!! :D

And you beat every single person that didn’t have the fitness (or the guts) to toe the start line.

    Congratulations, Karl!
