Tour of Britain

Omigosh! A real bicycle race . . . coming right past our front door! An ideal way to spend half an hour - waiting in the drizzle to see over a hundred bikes come whizzing past in a little over two minutes.

Actually, it was great fun - mugs of tea & a chance to chat. Even Daughter’s school were in on the act - they’d taken the older kids down to see the race from the railings of the playground just around the corner.

I took photos of the Tour of Britain as it passed. But this was actually the first time I’ve ever seen a real bicycle race, so I think our position on the outside of a bend wasn’t the best. Great fun though!
