Want a set of wheels?

Got a good lock? One of those nifty little D-locks that are as hard as it gets, and could only be cut off with a petrol-driven angle grinder? One that’s small enough that when it locks the bike to something tough & immovable that no-one’s going to get a jack in there to crack it open?

Good for you!

Of course, you want to make sure you secure more than just the frame. Otherwise anyone could make off with your wheels. Or the light you left on your handlebars. Unlike this bike, which was left somewhere in Newcastle recently.

Lessons from this?

  1. Those little D-locks are good - just make sure you get a good one.
  2. Lock the wheels too - either with an auxiliary cable or more D-lock
  3. Take your stuff with you - don’t leave your lights, tools and computer on the bike.
