That’s Four In A Row . . .
I wanted to get out and do a short run last night, just so that I could say that I had:
- 1 mile warm up: 7:30/mile.
- 1 minute rest & stretch out those calves & heels.
- 1 mile time trial: 6:44
- 1 minute rest & stretching
- A little cool-down jog around the block.
The run back to the house was hard - the wind was blowing hard in my face and it was COLD as hell frozen over. I also wasn’t paying attention, and managed to step in a puddle that’d been partially frozen over. There’s nothing like a shoe full of iced water & slush to make for a happy run. Or not.
Anyway. That’s four in a row,and now I have a baseline number for my running fitness.
