Change - This Is The Fork In The Road

This is the parting of the ways . . . my blog has become increasingly focused on bike culture, the way we live in towns, and the future we could have . . . if only we weren’t so wed to four wheels, petroleum and the myth of needing to drive.

But I’m also interested in so much more - running, family, and stuff. But the chances are that you’re not here to read about that stuff. So I’ve moved it off to one side. So now I have three blogs (kinda sad, really):

  • Do The Right Thing. That’s this one, and from now on, it’s just about being on a bike and the alternatives.
  • Do It Today. The great schism means that my running and family and stuff are over there now.
  • Lock Your Bike. A little sub-project I’m running - all about how you can lock it and not lose it. Something may come of it, or not - I don’t yet know.

Do you live in parallel universes? If so, can you show me way to those star gates? ;)

Kate - yeah, it’s a bit sad really, isn’t it.

Marc - the gateway was discovered by following your advice!

I can barely manage one, personally ;)

John - me too. “Do the Right Thing” is my blog, while “Do It Today” is more of a training log, with some blogginess to it. So if I want to say how much fun a run was, I can. “LockYourBike” is still a bit of an experiment - it’s over there, but I’m not really sure what to do with it.

I know the feeling- I’ve got three blogs too- work (interesting to very few) and one about modelmaking (Interesting to fellow anoraks) and ‘People Powered’, which seems to pick up more readers than the others combined.

Good on ya, Karl. And good luck with juggling them all.

Is it OK to leave personal abuse on all three?

Yeah, sure. If you could keep it to psychological and medical problems I have, that’d be great.
