Shopping Baskets - The Easy Way To Carry Stuff

This made me laugh today - it was on Copenhagenize.com, and in a way sums up how it feels to ride to the shops instead of walking or driving:

I don’t know if you think like me, but I was surprised by the second half - I thought the bike was going to disappear from outside the shop. Just goes to show - despite my sunny disposition, I do sometimes see the worst in situations. So when the guy got back on his bike and rode further down the hill to get back home, I was so relieved.

Sometimes riding a bike really is like that though - it’s like you’re in an Escher drawing. When the wind’s in the right direction, it’s downhill all the way. And that more than makes up for the days when the wind’s blowing the other way!

Not that you have to put up with the wind on those days, when there are gizmo’s like this you can put on your sensible bike - note that it still has a shopping basket on the front:

Not that I have any idea what that’s about.
