Friday Caption Contest: A Politically Acceptable Deal For Less Than Two Degrees Of Warming

… or in other words, a snowball’s chance in hell. If we’d held out for a politically acceptable, affordable solution to problems in the past, we’d have probably decided that appeasement of the Third Reich was the way to win votes at home.

Actually, it probably was the way to win votes at home, but we’d political leaders who were willing to show some leadership and take the tough decisions, rather than just being supine to the status quo.

Anyway.

With that in mind our caption contest today includes a bike that have the same properties as the agreement and subsequent actions required from the Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen this week - an agreement that is thus far, invisible:

Our prize for this week’s competition is unusual - we’re giving away an example of a rare animal breed. Yes, I know the trade in rare animals is bad, but it’s just sooo cute that I’m sure there’s a market for these little critters. And in the absence of an agreement in Copenhagen that’s based on reality, I’m sure that Naked Capitalism will save us all. So I’m all for animal trafficking now:

That’s right - with the right caption, you could win yourself a bike-riding cat to go with your invisible bike.

Good luck!
