Diff’rent Strokes
Another Monday, another session in the pool. As I’m still in the Prep Phase of my training, I was concentrating on technique again - 200m warm-up, 500m of various Total Immersion drills (both with the Fist Gloves on), and then 200m of full stroke. One of my clients, Gary from Tri Northumberland was also in the pool, and we chatted a bit about various training methods.
I’m still working hard to get my stroke right, while he has a great stroke (25m lengths in 13 relaxed-looking movements), so he was working on strength. I’m OK with that, but when he started with the dustbin-lid sized hand paddles that I had to inwardly ask,
