On The Turbo Trainer, Don’t Lean Into The Corners!
Time was short today, with a whole bunch of stuff that needed doing at home. It was also pretty cold out, and threatening to rain, so I wimped out and did the week’s long ride on the turbo.
I had to put a film on to take my mind off the whole riding-indoors-going-nowhere thing, and because of the noise from the turbo, I chose something without too much subtle and well-crafted dialog to worry about: a Star Wars film - Revenge of The Sith.
Good choice, except for that opening scene where the two Jedis are flying through the fleet.
This is great to watch, but my cycling instincts took over, and pretty soon I was riding with them (probably trying to catch them) . . . . and very nearly ended up on the floor, after trying to lean the bike into a particularly tight banking turn!
Road rash is one thing, but can you imagine the humiliation of having to admit to carpet burns from riding a bike?
