Repeat After Me: My Skin Is Waterproof

Something strange happened overnight - it warmed up, and the ice over all the roads and pavements pretty much vanished. I hadn’t noticed this before I left the house, so with my ice shoes on, I sounded like the cast of Riverdance going for a run.

What I did notice was the weather: blowing a gale and pishing down. Lovely.

Fortunately, I was just doing a short speed session:

  • 2km warm-up
  • 4 x 1k at a 6-minute-mile pace & 60 seconds recovery between each.
  • 1km to get home & into a hot shower.

It was tough leaving the house in this weather, but not as tough as making sure I held the pace for the workout, and no-where near as tough as forcing myself to do the last two reps!

Workout:

  • Type: Run
  • Date: 02/02/2010
  • Time: 06:30:00
  • Total Time: 00:30:00.00
  • Calories: 511
  • Distance: 4.35 miles
  • Average Pace: 6:53.79/mile
