Friday Caption Contest: Warped Transport Perspective

UK traffic engineers frequently seem to have a warped sense of perspective when it comes to bikes. The thinking seems to go along the lines of,

Bikes huh? You mean those insanely dangerous things that people need protecting from using, by forcing them to stop and start their journeys as often as possible, while staying right at the bottom of the traffic hierarchy? Well, we put in an experimental 10m long bike lane along the side of a perfectly straight bit of road (taking valuable road space away from tax-paying motorists ), and no-one used it. So, y’see, we don’t really have any bikes here.

To celebrate this logic, we have today’s Caption Contest photograph:

As usual, we’re offering a prize that’s beyond mere money: A [virtual] chance to ride this bike from London to Paris on 21st July this year, in the company of Not Quite So Fat Rob . On arrival, as is traditional, you’ll swap bib shorts with your fellow riders before taking some mind altering drugs and visiting the Salvador Dali museum.

All you have to do to win this prize is think of a caption for this photo, and leave it below as a comment.

Good luck!
