Swim Feeling Good Then Feeling Deflated
Well I thought I had a good swim today. I managed to do each of my reps at the target pace, and breathing on both sides (to the left going down the pool, and the right on the way back up). It was far from perfect - especially breathing on my weaker (left) side, but it was starting to feel good.
But apparently not. Nope.
My posture in the water is all wrong. And I’m lifting my head far too much to breath. And I need to spend more time on swimming rather than drills. Or at least alternate lengths of drills with full swimming so as to get their point hard coded into my nervous system.
Oh, yes, a regular Mr Motivator. On that last point, he may have a point though, and I’ll be trying it out on Monday. Actually, he might have a point on all of it. But there’s a time and a place for this stuff.
