First Run Home

This is the time management that means I get to train for stuff AND stay married. Now that long runs are heading above 15 miles they just take too long to fit into ’spare’ time, so I have to double them up with something else.

So for the next twelve weeks or so, I’m getting a lift into the office and running home. The shortest route is 15 miles, and by making it more scenic, it goes all the way up to 22 miles in later weeks.

With the last six miles along the sea front from Blyth, it’s quite scenic too. Though it’s also a long, straight, soul-destroying, will-sapping route when the wind’s in your face like it was today.

But, hey, at least it wasn’t raining.
