Good Friday - Tough Ride

As I was heading off to a party in That London for the weekend, I did my long ride on Friday. The plan was actually to do a Monster Brick session - 70 miles on the bike, and 8-10 miles running.

For the bike route, I headed off into the hills of County Durham again, and I have just one question about this:

How can a 70 mile route have 65 miles of headwind?

By the time I’d done 50 miles, the tank was empty, and I had to stop for emergency rations of sugary snacks. And by the time I got home, I felt properly bonked, and in no mood at all for that run.
