I Demand A Refund

Great run this evening on a new route - into Newcastle and back:

And I got to stop briefly at Carlton Reid’s cocktail bar half way round too. Unfortunately they were right out of Bambino Splash (pint glass - half fill with snakebite, and top up with snowball), but they did have water for me to top up my bottles, which was good.

So what was wrong with this run?

There’s obviously something wrong with weather control, that’s what. When I do long runs, it’s supposed to be fine and sunny when I set off, and then at the furthest point from home, the heavens are supposed to open. Ideally, with sleety snow blown hard in my face for the whole of the journey home.

All it could manage today was some light drizzle around Heaton - barely enough to dampen the pavements - and some rain that’d soaked Whitley Bay before I got there.

This just isn’t how it’s supposed to be. I want my money back.

I’m sure you’ll get over it. If not, you can train here, where it’s rain and headwinds in equal generous measures at the moment.
