Run Between Breakfasts

So the plan was to be up and on the road by about 5:45, giving me time for a quick half marathon & to get back home in time for a shower and to get to work.

It didn’t quite pan out like that though, and I ended up leaving the house at 6:20, so I had to cut the run short. Looking on the bright side, it was a beautiful morning, and when I got home I had to fantastic fresh eggs for second breakfast - cooked sunny side-up of course, and served on toast with a smear of chilli jam.

None of this sort of laziness allowed tomorrow though - first week of sea swimming, and I’m meeting my swimming buddy at 5 a.m. for an easy mile or so in the North Sea. Remind me - is it particularly cold at this time of year?
