Last Big Run Before Race Day
Not to self: A fat-boy sized pasty just two hours before this sort of run in nice warm weather is not good fuel. Felt distinctly "meh!’ all the way round.
Looking on the bright side - this run did push me over the 500 mile mark for this year!

Duly noted. I’ve empirically determined the same seems to be true of Mountain Dew,leftover pizza from the meeting, and the chocolate cookies the admin handed to me because she likes me.
Pizza is, however, perfect fuel for winter rides. Stuff it down the front of your jersey, and it provides great extra insulation (until you eat it).
