Sunday Ride on Saturday
It’s summer. That should mean that I don’t have to do training rides in the pouring rain. I’m pretty sure about this too.
So when I looked at the weather forecast on Friday night, and saw that Sunday was scheduled to be WET, I decided to throw caution to the wind and do my big ride on Saturday instead. Yeah, I know - living dangerously!
There was logic to normally doing the long rides on Sunday though - Friday is my long run day, so that day off between the run & bike was kinda important for recovery. But I’m now tapering down to Race Day, so Friday’s long run hadn’t been so long (a mere 14½ miles, with a p.b. half marathon time in there at 1:36), and the bike ride wasn’t going to be that long either. Just a quick 50 miles or so…!
