Solstice Swim

Last training swim before the race, and auspiciously (if you believe in that sort of thing), it was on the solstice .

The pool was crowded again with a bunch of people doing a zig-zagging breast stroke, plus Gary from Tri Northumberland making like a marlin through them all. At one point we nearly collided head-on, and it was only the fact that we were both on a mirror version of eachother’s stroke that meant we sliced past without any damage.

The aim today was to have a good, easy swim and build some confidence for Sunday.

Mission accomplished.

Best of luck, Karl. You’ve put in the time, so you’re ready.

Now it’s a bit of Lady Luck (you’ll have to believe in that sort of thing) to get you through a successful Sunday.
