Feet As Wet As An Otter’s Pocket

It rained hard for the whole journey home. Thank goodness for mudguards and Bikehugger Buddy Flaps !

My waterproofs were up to the job, but my feet were still soaking by the time I got home though. This is a problem I’ll need to sort before the winter really sets in. Overshoes / Booties? With sensible commuting shoes ?

It just seems wrong.

Any other ideas / suggestions for winter footwear that won’t break the bank?

Booties. Good quality ones that won’t come apart after you put ‘em on/take ‘em off a few times.

Wellies. Seriously. And you don’t need cycle clips

I’m a cheapskate. I find a couple of strips of duck tape keeps the worst of the weather out

OK - Townmouse & John The Monkey - I’m sold on the idea of wellingtons. Initially I was worried that with trousers tucked in, they’d fill up with water from the top. Then I realised that Gareth’s suggestion would fix that: Tuck waterproof over-trousers into wellies, and seal the top of the wellies to the trousers using duck tape. Makes perfect sense to me.

Though I might also be buying a pair of booties in the near future.
