Underpants? Oh, They’re In The Freezer.
It looks like winter’s chasing hard on the heels of autumn - this morning it was COLD. The forecast was 4°C, but there was frost on the edges of the road, and despite my scrummy fleecy-lined leggings & skiing mittens, it felt a whole lot colder.
By the time I got to work, my face was so numb that I could barely talk beyond demanding coffee, and my feet felt like someone else was wearing them.
So I scuttled off to get changed into some warm clothes. Basically I keep a wardrobe’s worth of shirts, jumpers, jeans and shoes at the office, and take clean underwear in with me every day in my saddlebag. Unfortunately that saddlebag is uninsulated, and unlike the engine on the bike (me), it has no internal heaters either.
Just so you know - I figured this out when I pulled on the underwear. Oh, and in case you were wondering, I do this behind a locked door, and not while I’m standing next to my desk. Apparently there’s some sort of "line" that I’m not supposed to cross on that front.
