In This Weather, Wear Two Pairs Of EVERYTHING
- Socks? Yes - sporty towelling ones under a pair of close-knit synthetic ones.
- Gloves? Yes - track-mits for wrist comfort under a pair of skiing mittens.
- Jersey? Yes - an air-trapping base layer under a regular jersey. And a windstopper on top.
- Trousers? Yes - fleecy-lined leggings over cycling shorts.
- Underpants? No. Drat.
Owing to that omission, I got a shock when I looked down while getting changed into my work clothes.
The question is . . . should I bike tomorrow? Forecast to be COLD again, but with added fog, and I’m running in the NS Poly Grand Prix race after work - my first race back from that knee injury.
I know the answer to that question before I’ve even finished typing it!
