Friday Caption Contest - Offensive Weapons Edition

We had some great entries for last week’s caption contest. I wish you could all be winners, but alas, there can be only one. So after much deliberation, our panel of judges have decided that Tom’s entry (”Warning, signs thrown from bridge”) showed that local knowledge can often give you the edge on a bike, and so wins the prize.

For this week, we have a little something for our Glorious Transport Minister to think about between announcing motorway widening schemes:

The obvious answer is that this is something to do with the “War on the motorist (sic.)” So your challenge is a little harder - to come up with a plausible excuse for this when the police pull you over for riding it.

This week’s prize is without parallel; it’s a chance to ride a properly offensive bike!

That arrangement is clearly impractical. Heres one they made earlier:

As for the excuse, you are clearly on your way to play the part of Tallula in a production of Bugsy Malone at the Whitley Bay playhouse.

‘Oh, I’m just borrowing the bike from Charlie Sheen’

    Completely impractical. Not enough ammunition!

Out of interest do you really own a machine gun (i won’t tell anyone, have always wanted an AK47 but never been able to justify the cost)

Tom - no, I don’t own one, and my probation officer was very particular about this.

Not that I’ve got one, but it isn’t the cost of the gun that’s the problem. The problem is that they’re fun to shoot, and full auto guns eat ammunition fast and it’s the ammunition that’s expensive.

The war on the motorist escalates.

Oops, just re-read the rules. Sorry to be so obvious.

For some drivers, a motor-vehicle is a lethal weapon hidden in plain sight.
