This Is Why I Ride A Bike
Today’s Yehuda Moon strip - never a truer word:
I remember the day well - a spring afternoon in 2005. I was in training for my first triathlon, but on this particular day, sitting in a mile long queue of traffic for the Tyne Tunnel. The windows were down, the sun shining, and I was going no-where.
Then suddenly a guy on a bike came past filtering between the two lanes of stationary cars on a bike. The wind was in his hair, he was grinning like an idiot, and obviously getting home before me. I thought,
“Bastard. If only I had the sort of job where I could ride to work….
Hole on a cotton-picking minute, I DO have the sort of job where I can ride to work!”
And I haven’t looked back since.
