Wait - I Have To Dye My Hair To Match My Bike?

Remember the Youtube vid showing how expensive cars are just so much better than bikes? Well the creator, “Rugfoot” now brings us this, which had me rolling around on the floor giggling more than is appropriate:

I do ride a fixed-wheel bike - it’s a great workhorse for my 30 mile commute and really helps when faced with the headwinds that we always seem to get here (no dead spots in the pedal stroke). It cruises at 18-22 mph very efficiently, though if I ride with anyone who’s got gears I struggle at the top end - 25mph needs 125rpm on the legs. Mine has brakes, though the handlebars are a pair of drops that’ve been chopped down & flipped over to make bull-horns (I never used the lower grips anyway), and I do stop at lights - often to the annoyance of the driver who’s been tailgating me.

But now it seems there’s another rule that I’d forgotten - the need to dye my hair to match my bike. I’m really not sure about that, and may have to paint the bike a greying rust colour instead….

I like it. I like the other video as well. Fixies are almost unheard of around here: I saw one last year but it vanished over winter.

I noticed the annoyance of car drivers when I stop at red lights as well. We can’t win, can we?
