Helmet….Fail!
ROC,
Can helmets reliably deflect cars? No!
ROC - Fail!
Amoeba - I wouldn’t have put it quite so bluntly, but yes you’re quite right.
This post’s title is “Whitley Bay In Regular Clothes”, and I’m yet to see people walking around wearing helmets, driving wearing helmets, using stairs wearing helmets, or any one of the myriad other activities that are more “dangerous” than riding a bike. So my guess is that a helmet does not constitute normal clothes.
I read recently that the tyre company Michelin had sent out a whole load of freebie cycle helmets for kids, painted in bright yellow.
I hope they gave them added realism by painting black tread-marks over them as well, because that is about how useful they are.
