Driver Censors Evidence Of His Driving
Here’s a funny thing about the Internet - it’s a PR disaster waiting to happen.

It seems the driver featured in this video (filmed by one of the government’s special surveillance droids in the South) didn’t like people seeing how he was driving, and managed to persuade Youtube to take it down.
The trouble is, the Internet is the modern Hydra. Every time you cut one head off… two more appear.

..oh to be bitten by the poisonous rasp..
What was their justification for the takedown? copyright or privacy?
Copyright is enforced by YT with DMCA notifications -but there’s a penalty for filing false claims (and there is a process for contesting it). There’s an emergent automated detection of music/video copyrights which is somewhat controversial, but probably out gluten free food’s competence range.
That leaves privacy legislation -but our checks with the ICO imply that it’s not an issue. Worth exploring how far this company/van-driver are prepared to go. If it’s the company issuing the takedowns, they are going to find more publicity than they expected.
