So after the mayhem of Monday’s pool session, this morning was a bit of a surprise. For the first ten minutes, I had teh pool completely to myself, and at worst, I was sharing with just four other people.

Use a good quality, small U-lock that’s very difficult to attack by jacking. Just like this, that I saw in Ashington yesterday:

It’s a rest week! So my lunchtime swim was only 2000yds. AND I was delighted to see that the pace was within three seconds of my goal for the race - if I do that at Nice, I’ll be out of the water in under a hundred minutes. Wooo!

Big swim today - 120 lengths of the pool. Turns out that although this is quite a long way, the time passes surprisingly quickly. And doing so many lengths, you get time to think about your stroke. Or something like that.
