Yep. That sort of crazy, weird, extreme sport, hunted by psychotic wildlife, messed-up stuff happens to me. Every. Single. Day.
Alternatively, your ride might be more civilised, in which case a polystyrene psychotic wildlife deflector might seem a little superfluous:
Hat-tip to @Eclair55 on the Twitter for the dangerous wildlife vid & this post’s title!

There must be something in the water. Or maybe that picture of Philip Hammond that’s hanging over my desk is starting to have an affect on me. You’ve got to admit, it’s very persuasive, isn’t it:
Whatever. Take a look at this:
You’d probably think that this is another one in the long list of helmet...

… this via David Hembrow, who explains some of what’s going on far better than I could:
It’s interesting as I spent some time today talking to one of our councillors about the importance of changing the built environment if we’re to change people’s behaviour. There’s a whole lot more to be said on this...

Last week I had one of those days on the bike - repeated attempts by drivers to find the most creative way to kill me, while making it look like an “accident”. The best of these was the learner driver, who bounced off the kerb several times right in front of me, before driving...

Yep - it’s that time of year again where we tar an entire section of society with the same brush. This time it’s taxi drivers that we’ll be picking on.
Before I started riding again, I was of the opinion that taxi drivers must be good drivers - if you spend eight hours a day...

. . . and the driver of this grey Vauxhall Astra cabriolet, registration S2 SCU is busy texting away as the car comes to a stop,
. . . oblivious to the green light ahead, she sits there working on her Very Important Text, secure in the knowledge that texting isn’t distracting, and that she’s...
