. . . I have a memory like a sieve. I meant to post this a couple of days ago, just before your Champagne treasure hunt on bikes to celebrate the opening of your concession on Oxford Street in That London.
Anyway . . .
A big, big “Wooo!” to the very nice people at Cyclodelic, and [...]

So I’m a bit late writing this up. You just wouldn’t believe how much work had piled up in the week we had away skiing.
There were no ski lessons on Saturday, so Daughter and I heade off up the lifts & over the mountain to Courchevel 1850. It seems that in the week we’d spent [...]

Today was Algernond’s and my last day to act like irresponsible juveniles - both our Daughters had extended skiing lessons, and were going to be busy until around 2pm, and then too tired to do anything at all.
So we set ourselves a challenge - to ski the entire perimeter of Courchevel, taking in every village [...]

On Thursday, there was no ski school, so Daughter and I got to do some distance together on our skis.
Like Algernond with his Petite, I found this exhausting, so I can only imagine how tiring it was for Daughter. She can ski - turns starting to parallel-up, and the ability to snow-plough to a stop [...]

So we got here last night at around midnight, and by the time I got to bed, it was nearer to one in the morning. Then for some reason, I got virtual jet lag. Never had this? Well it’s where you wake up at about 2am, and you’re brain says,
Hello! It’s morning! Time to wake [...]

You know those days where you have a deadline that cannot be missed? And unlike Douglas Adams, you can’t just admire the ‘wooshing’ sound it makes as it passes?
Yeah. Well, I had that sort of day yesterday. I had to . . .
Finish off the periscope for my rugged video camera. Periscope? What!?!! Well it’s [...]

On the cycling instructors’ course today, we had to demonstrate our presentation skills with a short presentation (2-3 minutes) on the subject of our choice. One of the guys spoke for 150 seconds on belly button fluff. :-/ Go figure!
I decided to teach the class how to bake the best bread they’ll ever taste. But [...]

So there are a bunch of people doing amazing stuff today - Brad & Big Dave & a few others from sweat365.com are doing the Steelman Triathlon somewhere in and around Las Vegas. 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike, and then a full marathon.
Any race with those kinds of distances is tough, but for this [...]

Omigosh! A real bicycle race . . . coming right past our front door! An ideal way to spend half an hour - waiting in the drizzle to see over a hundred bikes come whizzing past in a little over two minutes.
Actually, it was great fun - mugs of tea & a chance to chat. [...]

. . . so I didn’t drink as much as I should have done on the bike.
Anyway - the Run. VonSmallhaussen’s up to stay for the weekend, so she volunteered to come with me for the run - to the lighthouse and back. Except she was going to cycle (borrowing Wife’s bike), so that she [...]
