Training Planner

I’ve put together a little spreadsheet to help me plan my triathlon training for the year. I just enter my annual training hours target, and put my “A” races into the relevant week of the year, and . . . . Hey Presto! it puts together a full, periodized training schedule for me. Just like magic.All I then need to do is to plan each week, so that I spend my planned hours wisely.

I’d like to get your feedback on this Triathlon Training Planner, so please feel free to download it, tinker around, play with it, modify, add to it, whatever . . . and let me know how you get on.

  1. Thank you, that saved considerable time having to do a lot of calculations using Joe Friel’s Triathlon Bible. Would have been nice if I could have added color to some of the blocks, but alas, most of the page is write protected. Thanks again.

    Thanks for the feedback. What kind of colour would you like to add? Automatic highlighting of recovery / peak weeks, that sort of thing?

    It would be great if we could add extra workouts to the drop-down lists withing Week’s Plan - eg: Swim Technique, Yoga, etc.

    Thanks for the suggestion. Great suggestion. I’ll make the location of the list that drives the workouts a non-protected area of the sheet, so that you can add extra things.
